This thread says a lot of some of this community.
First you complained when they wanted to introduce the fair regional pricing, now that you now know that it means that you won't get all the games you want, you complain again.

I liked guilds 1 more than i did 2nd.

Unfortunately this is nearly 5% of the entire catalog. And possibly just the beginning...

This thread also shows how silly and regional pricing obsessed the community is because these games being removed has nothing to do with regional pricing (which GOG allows and a dozen+ new regional prices today alone). It's instead based on unequal exchange rates in GOG's pricing tiers, per G-Doc.

O good can you people just not understand that this is not about regional pricing. Regional pricing is here since March and today even more games got regionally priced and nobody is making a fuss about it since everybody just understands that gog can't do anything else - could somebody read the Back to our Roots post finally and not spread misinformation about regional pricing.

Regarding The Guild 2, apparently Renaissance is the only edition you need... the others Guild 2s are redundant and Renaissance just adds new features to similar play.

If the entire issue with these games being pulled is the introduction of region specific currency conversion (ie, unequal exchange rates in GOG's pricing tiers), I'd say to go back to just using USD again until all of GOG.com's current partners agree to a middle ground in which it can be reintroduced - it makes no sense to let go of a large portion of the catalog for something that seems like such a small issue that will only add very little to GOG's bottom line.

Maybe I'm wrong and this will bring in more customers who have avoided the store because of USD-local currency conversion fees.... in the end I really hope this works out for the site. This just makes me more worried for the future of GOG.com than anything. Hopefully there will be a sign of better things to come soon.

As some user have pointed out, it's absurd that the community now complains about loosing games because of the fair price principle. As for me, the answer to this should be simple NOT TO BUY GAMES ANYWHERE ELSE (yes specially Steam and Origin).

The regional price thing is absurd, unfair and should be punished. I could sort of get it when it comes to physical products that need to be shipped and where there are a lot of intermediaries and government regulations on the way, but with digital content it just makes no bloody sense!. Charging more for a digital product depending of which country are you buying from is just a scam, as simple as that. The GOG Community should be happy that GOG didn't jump into that greedy train.

Windows 8/Metro is a flat design. The new GoG.com is not flat, as evident by the shadows/gradients behind elements. This makes a world of difference for the better. However, the new design is less efficient than the old design, and I have to scroll more to see the same amount of content as before. I believe this is a compromise to make the site display better on smaller screens (smartphones). I have not yet viewed GoG.com on a smartphone because I don't have one, but I think it is better to make separate design for small screens and normal screens, instead of lazy compromises that degrade the UI experience for desktop/normal-sized-screen users.
