Game looks great, but does it have DRM?
I saw it cost ~$25 for an RPG that looks like a mix of Baldur's Gate and Ultima VII with MUCH less impressive environments and decided to pass on it.

EDIT: FWIW, it doesn't APPEAR to have any sort of DRM.

the demo is available for download. That doesn't help with your DRM query but at least you could find out if it was worth actually buying.

Not that I'm aware of.

I'm currently playing it and I enjoy it very much most of the time. It seems pretty expensive compared to other indie games and that put me off from buying at first, but a few months ago I gave in and just bought the damn thing, and I didn't regret it. If there's one indie game that absolutely belongs here on GOG it's Knights of the Chalice. Too bad it seems the developer has zero interest in even contacting GOG or any other store about it. That kind of makes me wonder if he even knows what makes GOG special or that they have more price points than $5.99 and $9.99 now, but in the end it's his decision (whether his loss or his gain, I can't say).

It's not really about the story, and it features some questionable design decision, IMO, that make the game fun and challenging at times but also bear the risk to be very unfair and frustrating (my complaints are mostly about temporarily shutting the party in in a hostile environment without the chance to recover from fights and gather resources). If you save your game often, you should be fine though. All in all it's a very polished and great tactical turn-based RPG though, based on a creative commons' version of D&D 3.5 and comparable maybe to Temple of Elemental Evil or the old Dark Sun games. I've played though 2/3 or 3/4 of it and I sank about 30 hours in it so far.

I posted some thoughts on it here.

PS: If you try the demo, keep in mind that it's not part of the actual game but a bonus adventure. It showcases how the game plays, what you can expect from it, but I think the beginning of the actual game might have made for a more attractive demo, since the bonus adventure is quite tough in parts (never managed to defeat the lich in it).

PPS: Oh, and like JudasIscariot wrote in that other thread, it's a perfect game for playing on the road, in case you own a netbook. :)
