I've been a big fan of the King's Bounty series for a while now, and think that while it's a series that many people are familiar with, most don't realize what a gem it is. With the release of the newest game in the series, King's Bounty: Warriors of the North , I thought I'd try and rectify this a bit by giving away an extra copy of the first game in the modern series to someone who has hopefully been on the fence about the series and would like to give it a try. The copy I am giving away is from Gamersgate.

King's Bounty: The Legend (Gamersgate)

To make this a more interesting thread to read, I thought we could share some cool things. I have a bookmark folder called "neat things", where I add articles and sites I come across that I find particularly interesting. In it, I have articles such as How bacteria nearly destroyed all life , All blue eyed humans have common ancestor and How big really? . Do you have a site that belongs in that folder? Post it!

So hopefully it'll be an interesting thread, and hey, one of you will get King's Bounty: The Legend at let's say... tomorrow, around dinner hour (EST).

I kept eying the sexy hexagon battlefield and knew I had to buy the game. So I did, took 3 months to download it, and now it sits among many other games I own, perhaps installed, but have yet to actually play. A phenomenon I wish I could get paid that hotly desired nickel for every time someone does something a whole bunch of times. If I did then I could buy more games to keep as "one day I will" trophies.

In this case I feel I may have done myself a disservice by ignoring KB for so long.
I'm interested :)

As far as individual sites/articles, I don't have any that I have saved in that respect. I do, however recomend a site that is pretty interesting in concept (you may have heard of it):

www.stumbleupon.com

This works much like a search engine where you input your interests and it'll take you to a random site that you may not know of.

First, you create an account, marking your interests and whatnot. It'll bring you to a random site (according to your interests), then you rate the site, and it will bring you to other site and evolve as you rate and show your tastes.

Edit: ... and +1. Forgot to say that, even though I did it.

Very good game. I recommend it.
Nice blend of RPG and turn based strategy.
And my girlfriend loves it too, so I guess it's quite women-friendly. :-)

And it's time!

So I assigned each person who wanted in a number, and had myself a visit to randomizer.org, where the randomness of the universe spit back MikeFE's number.

So congrats MikeFE, you've won yourself a copy of King's Bounty: The Legend! If you can send me a PM with your email, I'll send it your way ASAP.

Thank you to everyone who was interested or who spoke up to say what a great series these games are, and I've been checking out the sites you guys shared and some of them are really neat... yay for reading material!

Thanks again guys.
