gameon: I know it's early days, and there's not much activity on the kickstarter at the moment, but I wonder what stretch goals could be made?
Stretch goals I kind of wanted to keep quiet until I get closer to hitting my goal of $3k.

One thing I can share with you is that if I go beyond the asked for amount, people can expect a "Making of" dvd.

Also, I added international shipping to all tiers with physical rewards. Based on general research, I added $8 for international shipping and handling.

Well you've gained an extra backer. It will be interesting to see how things unfold.

Thank you kindly :) I'm interested to see how this goes as well.
No new backers :S

But there's still time. Are you planning on keeping it going until the very end?

Yep.

Thanks for the well wishes :) So far the kickstarter has had a very sluggish start. I'm not expecting it to succeed, but if pledges start coming in you never know.

Just remember, it costs nothing to pledge. It only costs you if the goal is met.

I don't know why there isn't more support for GOG member kickstarters. Jefequeso would have made a game, but had hardly any backers. Now CymTyr has a kickstarter of his music (of which several people downloaded his music free from his giveaways). He is a respected member here, i don't understand why there isn't anyone else who could pledge $1 towards this.

Even if 100 of you pledged $1, he wouldn't make it. But it WOULD show this "togetherness" that the GOG forums are supposedly all about.
I was going to post some more download codes of my album, but other than wellwishes no one is interested in my music around here.

I'm beginning to think my friend was right, and that some people get offended if people talk about anything other than games, even though this is the "General Discussion".

Anyway, kickstarter is still going, with 2 pledges so far. Giving it until Friday and then if I don't get any more pledges this coming week I'm probably going to pull the plug.

Know what though? At least I can say I tried, instead of wondering what would happen. It's just a shame I don't have the testicular fortitude to sell out for pledges, otherwise this thing probably would have been funded in under 24 hours.

I'd be lying if i didn't admit I'm slightly bitter that so many gog'ers were eager beavers to take free music from me, but don't want to support me in my efforts to make my music better.

It's all good though, no worries. Just don't expect anymore free music from me, when it's obvious the community here doesn't like it :)
Yes CymTyr, you can hold your head high and know that you gave it a go. Not many people would have the guts to try a kickstarter, mostly because of the "haters" out there that think people who do these things are going to "get rich quick".

When Jefequeso did his gaming kickstarter, i thought the community here would help him get to the goal, and eventually the game could have been a freebie to all on GOG or something like that.

But i was wrong. There are some kind people on GOG, but when it comes to individual backing like a kickstarter, nobody seems to care.

Still, i tried to help even if i don't have the cash to spare. And so did a few others. It doesn't have to be money, there could have been more people saying good luck!

Dude, I'm sorry. Just finished off my Christmas shopping and getting prepped for a ton of Christmas baking (something I've taken on now from my mom. What can I say? I enjoy it), so money's fairly tight for the moment. If I could contribute I would, because I really liked that earlier EP you had up for download.

Don't get discouraged. Honestly, a lot of people are probably in the same spot that I am right now. Maybe try again in a month or so? I would hope it would meet with more success then, and I'd honestly be disappointed if it didn't.

Crass, it's no worries. I'm not mad and only marginally disappointed. I'm not calling out my friends. It was more of a "State of Cym's fundraiser" and thoughts about having 2 pledges in a week.

I also updated the rewards because a friend who is supposedly going to pledge a large amount soon said they were "lacking".
STATUS UPDATE: The kickstarter is still going, though without access to my personal computer I cannot write and record the Christmas song I was going to post for my fellow GOG'ers.

For some of you it is already Christmas Day, and I wish you the best this holiday season. For the rest of you, I wish you the same, have a truly wonderful Christmas!
There's still hope.
I can only wish you good luck...
Im not a huge music fan... But good luck anyway!
