I own it on the PS1, does that count?
Anyone know a great site to get someone started on the Creatures series? It seemed a bit puzzling the first time I tried it.

Zchinque: Get Constructor! Do it!

Smannesman: Why?
It gets very low scores in the reviews.
And why Constructor and not Mob Rule?
Tell me!
Haha, now I am even more confused :)
Anyone have any recommendations? I don't own any of the games other than Creatures 1+2 (although I remember having problems with my old disc copies on XP and I'm on 7 now).
What surprises me is 'Constructor' got a 1 out of 10 from Computer & Video Games UK, but a 92 out of 100 from PC Zone UK?? Is there a flaw with this game??

If you read the review, you see that the score is obviously a mistake. It gets a good review, so there's no chance that the 1.0 is for real.

What reviews? All reviews I can remember have given pretty high scores.
And why? Because it is the most humorous and charming city sim around. And you can send psychopaths with chainsaws to destroy your opponent's properties. That's a plus.

I was kind of hoping you weren't going to call me on that :P
It was meant as a motivational tool to get you talking, I don't have any real data.
I vaguely remember liking it as a kid, but I was hoping you would start ranting about how cool it was.
So why not Mob Rule?
Isn't it similar?
Oh I did find one review with a low score after looking high and low: Computer and Videogames.
But I think their rating system is messed up or something because the tiny review is actually positive.
I might get Constructor actually, for nostalgic reasons.
I'm currently eyeing Imperial Glory as well as Commandos 2 & 3, but haven't played either before. I get the impression (possibly wrong) that Commandos 2 is the overall favorite of those who have played the series. Does anyone care to comment?
I'm pretty sure a lot of people know Mob Rule by the name of Street Wars - Constructor Underworld, so perhaps you should change or add that.

Try to do a google image search on it. I never saw a Mob Rule cover when it came out, only Streer Wars.

Another World was also known as Out of This World, at least the gamecard for Mob Rule mentions its other titles. Although, yes, it's interesting that Mob Rule got its american title, and Another World got the european one.

The game is also known as Constructor 2 or Street Wars: Constructor Underworld.
Hmmmmm....I have been telling myself I'd consider Constructor if it went on sale. I may take that plunge.

Btw, nice promo, GOG team.

Commandos 2 is more lenient, as the game is made easier than the prequel. Commandos 1 can be frustrating, though I did manage to complete it through persistance more than for being fun. The strategy is interesting though, as each level allows you to tackle them differently. There were times when I did enjoy it, not all doom and gloom as they say. The expansion to Commandos 1 I found easier, whilst Commandos 2 was even easier. If you don't like trial and error, or repeatedly loading your saved game then I would recommend Commandos 2 & 3 pack moreso than the first. Like with most Strategy games, patience is a virtue. The only one I haven't finished is Commandos 3, though it felt alot like Commandos 2. Commandos 2 had the added feature of being able to go inside buildings, which was good. Which is my favourite? Difficult to say, probably Commandos 2 as it was a better balanced game. Though I like the graphic style and original concept for Commandos 1. haha, so get all three :)

Thanks for the feedback... I don't think I'll get all 3, but I definitely appreciate the in-depth response.

Yeah I wanted to teach her how, she watched me the first time and we couldn't figure out how to do much. She though it looked cool, though:)
