I started playing this series from SR1.
Actually I found BO1 in Abandonia, but I don't feel like using it...
I wish GOG bring us BO1!!

I'm a big fan of the series, and I've played all of them. And I have to say I was somewhat disappointed by the first blood omen. It was the last one I got my hands on (or maybe it was before defiance? Can't remember now), and I found the story somewhat lacking. While Kain's remarks were truly enjoyable, I felt that there should be more conversations in that kind of game. I don't want to spoil the story for new players, but it's particularly painful when Kain gets to disguise himself as human (noble, even) and takes some quest, it feels so forced when you don't really talk to people. You just enter the throne room and basically get teleported to the next area. And the final twist was not presented very well either, to me at least.

tinyE: I just remembered, BO2 takes place BEFORE Soul Reaver so I guess that explaines people who have died coming back. I seriously need to go to bed. I'm getting crosseyed Xp
I think the biggest plot hole there was that Vorador was alive leading the resistance, but storywise the whole game stands out as disjointed.

Me too! I was so glad when I finally found my lost Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain CD.
