Tell me what you think in life is worth justifying? Can be game or non-game related.

I think a choice of rye, wheat, or white at every restaurant I visit is justifiable.

I also think being allowed to sleep in when I have nothing to do is justifiable.

I prefer reasons to justifications. The distinction between the two is that justifications are just convincing lies after the fact.

Interesting...what do you think about someone justifying something while berating someone else justifying something? Ironic or hypocritical?

Would you like to give us your definition of a justification then? I have my own, but I'm curious to know what you consider justified to mean.

This made me lol, not the condition just the fact that it does suck.Saying why you do something when people say why they don't do that same thing, and being told you're justifying something, while they then jusitfy(explain) why they do the opposite.

Then it's simply an argument.

Tell that to the IRC guys......to them I was justifying, and they weren't. Lol. I just wanted some clarification on if I truly got what justification was.

Ok, my definition would differ slightly. I assume the word to derive from "just" as in something being "right" or "goodly". So to me justifying something would be explaining why it is right for you to do that. It goes beyond simply excusing, and as far as actually proposing that what you are justifying is at least acceptable, and probably what you feel others should do.

So usually when you one is accused of justifying something (with an obviously negative implication that they shouldn't be doing so), they are being accused of suggesting something is acceptable, and perhaps even decent, when the accuser feels that it is not.

Good answer.....could you explain the last bit a bit more though? What is the difference between openly/purposefully suggesting something others find unacceptable to be acceptable and just explaining your motivations behind doing something? Or are they both the same?
