The LotR movies were not good, but at least they weren't all bad.
The Hobbit films are such appalling pieces of drek that Peter Jackson should be shunned from polite society for the rest of his life. I mean, how do you screw up The Hobbit, for gods sake?
Oh yeah, rewrite the story when you're not clever enough to hold Tolkien's drink for him.
The real tragedy is all the young people who will never get the chance to experience the books with their own imaginations because Peter Jackson needed to rape Tolkien's corpse again and again.
