SirPrimalform: Haha, that's a pretty big problem if there's nothing stopping you buying it when not logged in. Perhaps making an account with the address that you bought the games on would work?

AFnord: You don't need to have an account to buy games from them. They will send you an activation code, that you then can apply to the trial version, to make it a full version, or just download it from the link that comes with the same mail as the activation code. A bit less convenient than say GOG or steam, but it works.
Ah ok, I guess their mail server is just blocked up.

If people are allowed to go through with the purchase without being logged or invited to register before finalizing the purchase that's a bit uncoventional to say the least. I don't know if your suggestion would work, maybe it's worth a try, i honestly don't know.

bqwert1: THIS IS A SCAM. I ordered, was charged, and wasn't given any way to actually et the games, and they are not responding to any email requests.
Just a 'calm down heads up', after submitting a ticket to their helpdesk yesterday I got the download links in the inbox today.

Good deal for any adventure fans, Black Mirror and Dark Fall are really well made horror-y series (where BM1 is probably the best part in that series, the rest got apparently overly simplified, unfortunately), and Aura is pretty good for any Myst-fan (the story is so-so but it's great as an exploration game with clever puzzles and nice visuals). Wouldn't mind getting Dead Reefs as a bonus although I don't know much about it.

It's an investigation story with a familiar twist in investigation games (i won't say what kind of twist not to spoil it) compleletely unfocused on pirates or piraty stuff as the cover and name kinda imply. It's also keyboard only in terms of contols which made it a nightmare for me to finish it. It looks decent but the conversations are dry and short. The atmoshpere works for a while but it wears off quickly. All things considerd definitely nothing to get too excited about it i'm affraid.

Nice to know JA store is sorting out the problems for those who already bought the pack.

Oh well, with the ever-growing backlog, I guess I wouldn't be getting to it any time soon then. Thanks for the info!

By the way, for Black Mirror and Aura there's GameShield DRM involved (one time per install serial-key activation). Not sure about Dark Fall as it doesn't come with a key.

It is a one time per install but unlimited activation kind of DRM, right?

Yeah, per install - the game installs as a 20 day (or so) trial and the key "unlocks it" (haven't seen one of these deals in a while).
I made the purchase(I just wanted the BM) and everything went well: I received the confirmation email from paypal, and emails with links to download :)

Warning: the links to the downloads are only in the mail, there will be nothing recorded in your account on the site.

offtopic: there are many games that could be sold in packages, or at least all the games at the same store: Black Mirror (gamergate only has 1 and 2) Dark Fall (gamergate only has 2 and 3, dotemu only 1 and 2), Still Life (Post Mortem, SL1, SL2), Syberia...

For example Black Mirror: I buy the first part now at "Just Adventure", the second at gamersgate, and 3 at amazon. Or Dark Fall: 1 (dotemu), 2 (gamersgate), 3 (steam). Good Lord, what a mess!

Skunk: Yeah, I wouldn't mind knowing how I'm supposed to actually get what I paid for, either. A little help here? ¬_¬
I emailed them with my purchase order and they replied the next day with the download links.

Unfortunately, only Darkfall installed. Aura gave me the message "internal error" during installation and stopped and Black Mirror triggered Avira and sent one of the files to quarantine during install. I emailed JA for a help and they sent me to this thread, but so far there's been no discussion about installation problems.

Has anyone else had difficulties with these games?

Thanks,
Neil.

JustAdventure support redirects You to a thread on gog for help? That's some support...

Haven't tried Aura yet, but I installed Black Mirror without issues. That Avira quarantine is probably just a false positive, try adding whatever bugs it to the exceptions.
I did have some problems with downloading the Dark Fall installer though, the download seems to have been interrupted a couple of times - once it 'almost' made it, and the installer would launch but give some errors later. Finished fine finally after the third try. Maybe that's the problem You're having with Aura? Have You tried re-downloading the installer?

And finishing the DRM report, "Dark Fall Lights Out DC" seems to be DRM-free.

Yeah, Aura seems to be FUBAR, it installs all the way but doesn't boot, always throws the same internal error failure message on startup

I got it working by installing the 1.04 patch on top of the JA installation and then replacing the .exe with a fixed one.
