People do a lot of giveways here because everybody else does it, and it's just the cool thing to do here now

Edit-I would like to clarify that I am inherently more generous than other people on forums because I am awesome, and there are some genuinely generous people here. But a lot of other people do it just to fit in. Or to get people to visit their webpage . Yup that's right.

This community really is something. This might sound weird, but I think that people caring about having games DRM-free makes them care and value the games more. That seems to lend itself to greater generosity.
