I don't know why but today this game just popped in my head. Used to play this game a lot as a kid in my school. During a computer class sometimes our teacher would let us play this game, usually on a Friday. Well it isn't much of a game like the one's now days but back then this was one of few pc games I knew existed and it sure was fun. Never was able to remember the name of the game until now. Memories! :D

This looks very similar. I see that J-Bird was a PC Clone for this arcade game only. Q-Bert looks a bit more complex.

Haven't played it, but I do enjoy seeing others' nostalgia. :)
Didn't even realize this game existed, but man did I love Q-bert when I was young and spending all my time (and quarters) in arcades.
I played that on my Pravetz when I was little. It was my first computer and this was the only game there. I drove my parents mad with that soundtrack :D

It was the game I got bundled with my GameBoy, and the only game I ever had for the system. I was jealous of everyone else who got Tetris. I never did like the game very much, the controls were annoying as I could never remember whether down was mapped as down-left or down-right (leading to many mistakes).

I did and I remember it well enough not to have to check your links.

It is a good game. I still have it on my DOS PC.
I could find this game on abandon ware sites but it would be nice to have an enhanced version on GOG, so I created a wishlist.
