Has anyone played JA:F yet ? I would like your thoughts on it.
Right now I'm really tempted to buy it on steam (early access).
Is it worth buying yet, or should I wait for the GOG release ?
This one looks like a worthy successor after all the crap we had .(Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge anyone ?)

Kickstarter thread on GOG

Shanga seems to like it, which is good enough for me. I think there should be a few videos of him playing the alpha linked in the subforum, tell me if you need help locating them.
Looking forward to this as I sadly skipped the Kickstarter for it, hope it turns out good :)
I did check out the videos JMich mentioned just now. Still a lot of work in progress it seems.
I'll hold off with buying for now.
It's great that they support modding. JA2 has some great mods.
It would be nice if in this Jagged Alliance game, your mercs don't shoot like they are almost blind while the enemy are all snipers.
Ha! they've got the honest trailers voiceover guy for the trailer.

I'll have to add this to my list of stuff to checkout once I get my computer back. I really missed the fun personality conflicts when I played BIA. That sort of thing is what made JA unique to me. I'll want to see that stuff in action before I put money down, though.

I've got Jagged Alliance: Back in Action. It's okay. I just don't understand why developers can't put "action points" back in the game instead of the "pause" system. A proper new Jagged Alliance would be welcome. That new X-Com remake was pretty good.

Honestly though, I think an open world 3rd person squad based Jagged Alliance would be good. If they kept the laptop and hiring/ordering of weapons, the merc personalities, the taking over of towns and locations, the RPG stuff like skills and stats and conversations,.. except it was a 3rd person open world game with vehicles,.. then I would love that. But the budget on that would be too large I guess.
