I actually thought this was a joke thread, or you were exaggerating somehow; imagine my surprise when I find out the game is exactly as you describe it! That just goes to show how ridiculous this idea is.

I think they are talking about the new Zelda to DS, where it seems like you travel around with a train (intead of a boat like in Wind Waker). The game was just announced at GDC.
And "Rink" = Link I guess.

I'd guessed it was about Zelda, I saw through the Engrish ;-) It just seemed that it was a specific article that brought it on.

They may not cater to "hardcore" gamers as much anymore, but they have made the most profits out of their system by giving the general public what they wanted.

The point would be to... not buy the shovelware. Sadly the casual gamers don't have a shovelware radar and keep supporting companies that produce crappy games.
If only there was someway to install a shovelradar into casual gamers...
