It's probably a good thing so that we (hopefully) get more honest ratings because people played the game before rating, but I'm still kind of surprised the fanfare felt lacking. The release thread is already 3 pages back, only has 5 pages worth of comments, the r/games post was only on the front page for 1/2 hour or so (usually the GOG release posts I make stay longer), and the JP subforum hasn't had a new post in 16 hours.
To be fair, I met this release with a slightly interested 'meh'. Not that I'm particularly representative of the majority of the GOG user base, let alone the gaming community.

Point and click adventure games and adventure games in general are my cup of tea all the way, but The Journeyman Project always had something I felt lacking, and I don't think it has the fan base to support it with great interest, nor will it generate a new batch of fans, like Harvester did and does, for instance.

Just my two euro cents.

[EDIT] Let's not forget that it was released on the same day as Risen 2, and just a few days after Risen, and the GOG community (and gaming community, overall) largely favors RPGs over adventure games, especially if said RPGs are developed by a cherished studio such as Piranha Bites -- with the added fact that Risen brought Deep Silver on board, even though I'm in the minority of those excited by the prospect of having Deep Silver's Secret Files series on GOG.

It's a fairly niche genre, and it's a difficult one to really rate without having played it through. Also, it's a very new release for most people - Pegasus Prime has never been released on PC before, only Mac, and at the time of its release, Macs were a very rare thing indeed.

It was an instabuy for me yesterday, but I've only just got around to playing it an hour ago.

I'd say give it time.

Strange indeed, though maybe it's bugged, I have made a few reviews in the past that didn't showed up.
It has a few reviews with ratings (and people voting on those reviews) so my guess is it just doesn't show the rating until it has so many votes or a certain amount of time has passed. Or it's bugged.
Tried the demo, and it felt pretty 'bleh' to me, so I didn't really get the hype. I could see how if maybe one played these games in the past, how they might derive enjoyment from playing them again, however the miniscule viewing space plus the fact that we've just received two great action-RPGs kind of dampened any interest I had.

That said, I do love adventure games... give me Tex Murphy, Leisure Suit Larry, Discworld, or Unwritten Tails any day of the week. And on the subject of small viewing spaces, I would really LOVE to see Lighthouse here, go figure. Something about the Journeyman titles just looks so... patchwork. I do love the box art for Journeyman 3 however.

It's seems like an interesting series to me, but going to wait for a better sale to pick it up. Though, I'll probably not review it as I am more prone to clicking the star button instead; it won't matter by then, anyways!
