Little Big Adventure
Little Big Adventure 2

Not turn-based but classically isometric. Controls take some patience to come to grips with, but the visuals, audio, and storyline are all worthwhile. Delightful sense of humour and character as well.
Wastelands 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juemg0G1UNg

Silent Storm
Jagged Alliance series
Sabre Team
Space Crusade
Wages of War : The Business of Battle
Soldiers at War
Fallout Tactics
Shadow Company Left for Dead
Ufo extraterrestrials (soon second game)

brad676: isometric point and click puzzle games ( like sanitarium)
There's one in the works that looks quite amazing, called . It's slated for an August release (but that might change obviously); there's a [url=http://www.stasisgame.com/getstasis/]demo if You want to try it out.

Sweet, that looks really good! I hope that GOG snaps this one up if it stays true to its potential.

Been following the development for around 4 years now I think, and it really only got better. It's mostly a one-man job, the author has some exceptional skills when it comes to visuals, and during the recent successful Kickstarter campaign he revealed Mark Morgan (of Fallout soundtrack fame, among many others) is on board. So at least in the audio-visual department it's looking like a winner.

I love Mark Morgan's work. I sometimes use the Shattering Steel CD-Tracks (arguably the best thing about the game) as battle theme in PnP RPG.

Stasis look really good. If they don't botch the puzzles it should be a hit.

I have been remiss in not recommending D\Generation, one of my favourite games ever. I like it so much that I wrote an unofficial sequel, which I just now discovered has its own MobyGames page - rE\Generation. It's a pretty awful game, being my first completed one, and probably runs like crap now. But its heart is in the right place. :)

EDIT: typos

brad676: anyone have any good isometric style turn based squad shooters (like commandos( edit:i know its not turn based haha) or fallout) or isometric point and click puzzle games ( like sanitarium). remember playing a few when i was young probably on a demo, cant remember the name for the life of me but id love to give some games like that a go again

thanks in advance
Fallout Tactics is squad based, but the regular Fallout 1 and 2 are better quality in my mind.
Technically, Fallout 1 and 2 are not isometric, but Fallout Tactics is. Fallout 1 and 2 actually use a trimetric projection.
Has anyone played Enemy Infestation? It's not turn based but it fits the isometric squad based tactical bill perfectly, I'd love to see this on GOG as I've totally missed out on this game and it looks like something a good number of people here could be interested in.

Voted for it earlier, it's a game I still have on CD. Not a bad one, either. Hope it gets more support, thanks!
Expeditions: Conquistador fits well for what you´re looking for.
DataJack maybe isn´t, but I would give a try, I´m enjoying it (it´s free on Desura)
another vote for Jagged Alliance 2. Probably one of the best games ever made!
