I was checking the new releases on Steam and noticed that Mr Bree + was now available there. The twist is that its basis price (without sales) is 3€/$ . I checked the official game page and every retailers excepting gog have this same basis price but here we still pay 9$ (yeah, that's the triple) :

It's one example but I'm sure that since the last (and unique?) permanent price drop on gog, a few games have surely seen their price permanently diminished elsewhere. So if some people have seen such cases recently, maybe we could email the gog team about that and they can adjust the price (or not...)

Yeah I noticed that too for Mr. Bree+, I was a bit shocked at the huge difference to be honest.
Actually right now it's $1.99 on their website. :/
It's even cheaper at Desura - €1.99:

So it's indeed time for a price drop on GOG.

Another twist is that it is actually $10 here not 9. ;-)
Maybe u should ask the dev/publisher why they dropped the price everywhere but not on Gog??

what's the point?. Gog doesnt control the prices. many people prefer to buy games here DRM free anyway. if u want to buy elsewhere that's your choice

I think this was probably just an oversight or GOG simply hasn't got to it yet.
Unlikely (and pretty shitty) that the developer would sell for $1.99 and expect GOG to compete at $9.99.
This is just an indie dev after all. ;)
I think politely sending a message to the publisher stands a chance at getting a price drop. You never know, the developer may have just forgotten to reduce the price here. Worth a shot.
I've sent a message to the GOG staff in case they were unaware of the issue. I hope that it's resolved soon considering the potential for lost sales.
The last price drop was the one of Redshirt, and that was a silent one (without news post about it). That doesn't happen commonly anymore... But who knows ;-)

And your concern has been addressed.
Yep, I noticed that. I hope more people will buy this game, it deserves it.

They probably kept that one below the radar for fear of more negative press regarding the ridiculous pricing. $20 is fairly high for an indie game, but Redshirt was so shallow and simple that charging it only added insult to injury.

I wonder how hard it would be for them to run a report that checks the price of the games they are selling on competitors websites like Steam, Desura, GG, etc. Run the report once a week and compare.

I would like to have a universal price tracker, that basically tells me for every game I wish the price history over the last 12 months for all the popular distribution channels. I could then judge who has the best price and how likely it is that there will be an even better price within the next time.

But alas regional pricing makes everything bad again. Or game versions could not be completely identical.

It would already be nice to see a list of games that are cheaper on GOG than on Steam and vice versa.
