I take that with a huge grain of salt, but is Valve really that determined to go with Linux?

Maybe I missed something and that is some kind of joke site. Seeing the other articles, maybe it is at least part of the yellow press ("Sony says Playstation 4 will have a minimum 25-year life-cycle" etc...)

Well... I very much doubt so. But I could see Valve doing their best to go against new, amazing closed policy that Microsoft's slowly starting to push on their operating system, so... Yeah, I wouldn't be that surprised.
The Linux thing is most definitely true. HL3...I don't know.

If that article has any basis with reality, I think it is either:

- Valve is making these kinds of outrageous claims of its future trying to force/lure Microsoft to loosen up with its Windows Store policy. After all, when would Half-life 3 come out anyway? At this point they could claim anything related to it.

- They might indeed even keep it Linux exclusive, even if it means much less sales. I guess they get enough even without it (ironically, probably from Win8 users at that point).

But I am both puzzled and intrigued by these different (alleged) comments by Valve for backing Linux gaming. This seems like the boldest statement yet, refusing to develop their next (vaporware) flagship game to Windows at all, if I understood their statement right.
