I tried searching for a topic like this, but failed miserably.

But anyway, is there a guild for goggers in the game?
there definitely needs to be

this reminds me i still havent done any of the dungeons yet
I just got the game for Christmas after playing the weekend trial a little while back. So if anybody's new and going through the Asuran or Norn stories, lemme know! I still haven't played it much, but trying to at least do the dailies most of the time. Oh, and I'm on Crystal Desert if that matters, not sure if you can play on different servers after initial setup.
There isn't unfortunately, however if you want anyone to play with my IGN is Zeta Wildheart. I'm on the Dragonbrand Server.
How do you guys like this game? How is the online community? I might get it for my birthday (in February).I hope to have some free time then.
It's been a little tougher to get into than the first one.

Does anyone know when they give out the Wintersday hats?

I have not had the time to play like I used to.
I don't currently have a stable connection, but when I move in a month it should get better. So if there is a guild, I'll join it then.

Its a really fun game. Here's my review.

The first part of the storyline is great, but they dropped the ball on the personal storyline once you meet Traehern midway through the game. It seems to become his story instead of yours. Although, I find some of the hate towards him a bit unjustified, but if your not playing Sylvari its jarring. Basically GW2 has the same problem as Mass Effect 3, near the end the story lines start becoming way too similar. In a way, I think Treahern becomes a bit of a scapegoat for this. I'm going to leave this at that since I don't want to spoil too much, but just be aware that you shouldn't believe the hype.

Also, home instances there is no point in checking out. I was hoping they would become like the HOM in guild wars one, but as they are right now they are pointless.

All the professions are reasonably soloable, but it is easier and funner when you are playing with someone else. I really like the necromancer profession and the Asura are a riot.

The lack of a healer in this game does seem to work, but it would be nice to have a few more support/healing skills on the bar but it is not too big of a deal. The trick is to be very careful about getting mobbed, but some places get a little overboard with the mobs like Orr later in the game.

There is plenty of room for exploration, and you get XP for exploration. Grinding is not an efficient way to get XP, the best way to get XP is to do anything else; dynamic events, explore, craft, pvp, etc. I like this aspect because one of my biggest pet peeves in this game is having to grind.

I'm not wild about the underwater levels, but IMO its reasonably painless. It is best to do underwater levels with a mouse instead of a touchpad.

Thanks for the review! +1

I usually play as a healer; it's going to be weird to adjust.

np, their are several professions that can make a good substitute for a healer such as the elementalists and the guardians. You can take a look at the different professions here:

Doesn't seem to be any guild as far as I know.

Although I haven't been on for awhile, has the game been updated to search guild names in-game or at least a third party website dedicated for that? Found one: http://www.gw2guilds.org/.
Agh, in Guild Wars 1 I ran a little guild called the Knights in Green Pantaloons. I've been having trouble re-establishing it because of what little amount of time I have.

The review is accurate, except I kind of have enjoyed the underwater areas.
If there is no guild, someone should make one. I'd join it :)
Hell, I'd buy it and join it.

We need a The Secret World guild too, I'm on Daemon, I know marach is on the RP server (I have an alt there).
Anyone on Kaineng, I'd love to have more contacts for when my small guild isn't online
