I just saw that somebody voted for "Freelancer 2" on the wishlist...I did not know such a game existed. I thought there was only Freelancer? If there -is- no Freelancer 2, then why is it being voted for and why is it even allowed to be on the list?

There is no Freelancer 2. There are a lot of "garbage" entries on the wishlist, like StarCraft 4, for example. Eventually the GOG guys will clean up the list to remove that stuff. Its not that they "allow" that stuff to be there as much as the wishlist can't really restrict you from creating a bogus entry. How is it supposed to know a real one from a fake one?

Funnily enough, the closest you get to Freelancer 2 is probably Dark Star One, which is already on GoG...

Anyone can add anything to the list. Probably a good bit of the clean up goes to removing things that some people find funny when they forget they aren't in the school locker room anymore. But there isn't a great chance that the GoG team will devote a lot of time to tracking down "Starcraft 4."

Shame I don't get that many votes in reality

Maybe GOG could have someone from the community whose knowledgeable about these things go through the list and clean things up instead of having to worry about it themselves? Would save them time and allow their people to work on more important things.
I did some looking though and apparently there *was* a *script* written for a Freelancer 2 but the game was never made.

Trivia: Freelancer 2 was being made. It was going to be an XBOX 360 exclusive.

Freelancer 2? No, but there is a tech demo for a in development version on YouTube. Too bad it got canceled.

There is a mod being made to use a "Freelancer 2" by using the original engine but pulling apart first.
