As you know, all games from Good Old Games that require a DOS runtime environment usually come packaged with DOSBox and a wraparound for the game's executable. Unfortunately, they haven't seem to have updated their included version of DOSBox since 2008, and so it's up to users to update the packaged version manually. In a similar situation, there are a couple games that run using the ScummVM program, and a user could update said ScummVM simply by downloading the appropriate .zip file and extracting all contents into the game's ScummVM folder. I'm having trouble locating a .zip file, for manual installation, of DOSBox 0.74. All I can find is the installer .exe.

Assuming you're referring to the Windows version?

Just run the installer then all the files are in your program directory

(Win7 x64) C:\Program Files (x86)\DOSBox-0.74

Copy the files into the DOSBOX directory in the GOG game directory. And you're good to go.

Note: I'm pretty sure not all the dosbox files are needed, but I figured I could waste the extra 1mb just incase.

Edit:

I made a zip of an install so you wouldn't have to run the install yourself. I'll leave it active for a few days then pull it.

Also if anyone wants to sign up for dropbox it'll give me more space and I can leave it up longer. Thanks. :) http://db.tt/MjIcZ0w

Thanks, but I just copied and pasted everything that was in the /DOSBox folder in the D-Fend fronted program folder. I also noticed that included with GOG's releases is the source package (tar.gz) for 0.72, so I just downloaded the source package for 0.74 and replaced the old one with it.
