When I start the installer, it indicates I have 60GB free. In the middle of the instalation, it stops and says I don't have enough free space (600+ MB) in the destination disk/partition. I have 60000MB!!
I've tried to use the compatibility mode, changing the options (destination drive), etc. I'm using Vista (32bit) and the game in question is Jagged Alliance 2: Unfinished Business.
What's the problem and how can I solve it?
(I posted it here because I've opened a support ticket a few hours ago and I didn't receive any kind of notificatio that my ticket was received)
I'm guessing your drive where temporary files are stored is full.
Start->Run->cmd<Enter>(wait for command line to show up)echo %temp%<Enter>
This will give you where Windows stores temporary files. Check if that drive has enough space.
Other then that it could be a faulty download. Have you tried redownloading the game?

My temp folder is in the same drive I want to install the game: it has 60GB free. But I've deleted it's contents, downloaded the game again and tryied to install it. Nothing, the same error.
And no oficial contact yet from the support team. Not even to aknowledge my ticket. :(
I have the same problem with the M.A.X. series installer: it says there's not enough free space even though there are several GBs free on all drives
Can you change the type of this thread? Right now it's set to discussion (green blob), and I doubt the mods (and people in-the-know) monitor those as close as the Questions/Bugs (orange blobs).
Also, give those guys some breathing room - it's still a beta test after all, I'm sure they're buried in work right now. I think they'll contact you once they have worked through the stuff that piled up throughout the weekend. I doubt they can afford to have their full support staff come in 7 days a week.
If you find/are told a solution, please post it for all of us to see.
(...and why was my previous post rated down? How curious.)

Couldn't change it, so posted another one in the game's subforum. Let's see if the problem is at least solved today...
(about your rate, it looks fine. but I didn't rate it, btw)
We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
When we will have more news, we'll post it here and other relevant topics.
Thanks for your understanding regarding the emails, there are lot of them. We really are doing the best we can to get through them all as soon as possible.
Just a thought, but this may have something to do with FAT32 vs NTFS, and that the installer was designed for older file systems - so it has a problem understanding the info it gets back from a free disk space check. It may be that GOG are going to have to find a way to fix the actual installer software for titles that give this error...
Interesting idea :) but I don't think it's related to that, give us just a while longer and we'll post more info shortly. Thanks! :)
Purchased and downloaded MDK. When i try to install the game to any of my drives it tells me that the detination drive is full. my C drive has 44G free, F drive 60G and my H drive 22G free... Anyopne have any ideas?
i see that many people are having the same problem - i also thought it had something to do with FAT32 vs NTFS...
How they can sort this problem out!!

DaveGolden: MDK

Did you manage to download using the SAIX cache info? I just lost 300mb of Fallout 1 and am unable to resume. Goodbye progress and goodbye 300mb of my cap. GOG really need to set up FTP or BitTorrent, I reckon :(
i used IDM and the first attempt stopped at 300mb but the second attempt was fine - fortunatley i'm on a uncapped ISP - just downloaded Jagged alliance 2 with no problems...
I managed to install MAX, I'm not sure what I did differently this time.
The only thing I can think of is that this time I didn't switch to another window while the install was running, I just clicked the last button and took my hands off the mouse and keyboard
Already posted this in two other places...
Many games designed for Win9X calculate free space modulo 2GB. In order to get around this particular installation problem, it should suffice to drop filler files of a few hundred MB onto the partition until the game installs. After that, the fillers can go.
Copies of the game installer usually make good fillers ;-)

I don't get it.
I have 60GB free in the partition I want to install (210GB used space). Do you mean I should fill my hard drive until I have only 2GB free?
And for a game that is supposed to be tweaked to run on Vista, it would be silly if the installer weren't compatible with Vista! :D
I've just received an email to re-download the file, as they suspect it was corrupted. I had already done that, but I'm downloading again anyway. This time with no download managers.
I'll post here the result.
