I'm really looking forward to Retron5. It's looking awesome so far. I love the fact that i'll finally be able to hook up just one console to my TV instead of having to switch between different consoles all the time. The fact that it has a HDMI output and gets the image into high resolution and even allows filters also helps a lot, since a decent image processor/converter to use with the original consoles is really expensive (like the Framemeister, for example, which costs around U$300).
Oh, and the fact that it will allow saves to be stored on the console instead of the cartridge is a life saver. The batteries on NES cartridges are already dying by now and switching them for working batteries is a huge pain in the ass (since it involves soldering).
