Sorry for the two-week necro.

All my giveaways have been of GOG games I've purchased at the time of the giveaway, so the large ones especially offered an option that might apply to some gifters. GOG's BizDev (Business Development) will actually split codes for you in certain rare, one-off circumstances. So if you're going to buy 100 copies of a game, get in touch with Judas or one of the other blues first and see if they'll consider putting someone on code-splitting duty for whatever you're planning.

Be reasonable. It's an arduous process and there has to be financial incentive for GOG to set someone to do that, so unless you're going to be saving them at least several dozen transaction fees (a few dozen cents per) don't bother asking - it's cost-prohibitive for them to do it. Writing a script to automate purchase field fill-in, though? That works.

My impression is that they are not inclined at the moment to change the situation although they acknowledge the problem. For me it's the time not the money but serial gifting is probably a very rare hobby so maybe not worth the hassle (what part of the sales transactions are serial transactions of the same game?). I will just experiment with a macro script to automatize the process and hope my bank is not going crazy over it. I hope it'll work.

Right, and that's the purpose of that first paragraph - just to let people know that if they're going to go pretty crazy with their giveaways (I think my first christmas giveaway was over 100 codes?), there are friendly people at GOG who might be able to work with you to help you out.

Good luck with your script. I hope you find a solution that works well for you. =)
