I found two copies of the game today during a random store visit. Still shrink wrapped and the boxes seemed to be in good condition. 10 euros a pop. Sounds a little TOO expensive to me, especially considering that there's no guarantee the disk will still work, but what do you guys think? Was it the kind of game that would be worth the risk?

Just to clarify, I'm refering to this http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/imperium-galactica/
Just read that Mobygames blurb and holy shit. I need to find a copy of it.
I have this on disc.
It works perfectly on my xp machine.
A good game, but I'd hesitate to say that I would pay €10 for it.
Sounds interesting.

They might be worth a bit with collectors considering they still have their wrappers on.

Is it Service Pack 2 or 3? My old games tend to work fine on SP2, but the moment I try them on SP3 they get all... shy.
I've never actually tried Imperium Galactica 1, but the second one is probably the best space 4X game I've ever played. I'm really hoping it'll show up here someday.

TBH, I'm not sure. It's been a couple of years since I played it.
I might try it when I get home tonight.
loved #2, (never got it working on lan though)

if in big box, I would say get for collectors,
It's a DOS game so it runs in DOSBox - and the second game is far superior but the first is still a great deal of fun!
