Also in for The Longest Journey.
My immediate family is fantastic, I get along with everyone and their spouse and children. My mother was everything one can want in a mother, unfortunately she was a victim of cancer in 1998. My father who used to be the Homer Simpson type (except that he was good at his job) really partly re-invented himself during my mother's sickness, the TV is still always on at his place but he discovered a love of cooking that keeps him going. My big sister shares my love of reading and we have similar taste in books and tv-shows.
My family all say that I'm very smart but as far as I am concerned my little brother is the smartest in the family. He got married and got his first house in his early 20s, he never asked me to just fix his computer but always to show him how and now very rarely asks for my help, he is a very good cook, he coaches a women soccer team, he can do anything he sets his mind to, I am science and technology smart, my brother has more common sense than anyone I know. I crashed and burned a few years ago, my little brother helped me get the help I needed.
Sounds a bit like my sister and I, she's awesome and I really respect her for all the things she's done with her life. I am sorry to read about your mother, mine had cancer too but thankfully she recovered. I don't always see eye-to-eye with either of my parents but I love them dearly and do not like to dwell on their mortality.
Not in for the GA but thanks, good luck everyone.
