DubConqueror: That's not old! Internet seems like it was there forever, but it only became available outside of the military and a few universities in 1994. I remember a colleguea of mine telling about it and me wandering what the hell would be the use of some invention like that...
Yeah, I remember my middle school Geography teacher talking about it and I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. I didn't even have a computer at the time and the concept was rather hard to grasp. It was probably 94, as I moved schools the next year. He was a man ahead of his time!

Of course, this was also the same guy who put a note on the tv so his kids wouldn't wake him up early on the weekends. His kids couldn't read yet :/

HereForTheBeer: ...the first time "Where's the beef?" was used in TV ads.
I was going to mention this.
I said "where's the beef " at work the other day, and one guy started laughing but I don't even know if he knew what I was talking about. He's 24.
I'm so old I miss Genndy Tartakovsky :(
I'm so old I went to a Pearl Jam concert in 1993.

I'm so old I remember seeing commercials for Double Dragon III and thinking "tubular!"

Good times!

I'm so old that I am 40 years old
Did you have to start this thread on my birthday?

I'm so old, I can't remember anything.
I'm so old I remember when 3D cards were new and single core processors were the fastest things alive... still too young compared to many of the people in this thread. :P
I'm so old I remember when doom was still shareware. Ah. Those were the days. A entire episode, 9 levels 1 bonus, was considered a "demo".

I copied the Shareware version of Doom in several floppy disks and installed them in the computer lab of my highschool to play deathmatch with my classmates. The computers didn´t had soundcard so we used the pc speaker. Good times.
I remember my first modem. It was state of the art for the time. It was also 300bd.
.. Nintendo game & watch were popular.

Marzooker: ...pantyhose and the Big Mac were invented. I used our black, rotary-dial phone to tell friends.

What do you remember that your kids/grandkids would find hilarious?

MGShogun: I'm so old that I remember when I had to get up at 5 am on Saturday mornings just to catch really good cartoons.
I remember when saturday morning had cartoons.

I also remember using payphones (and consequently collect calling), Crystal Pepsi, and being able to close Windows and just use dos.

zomgieee: I'm so old that I remember playing fortress of narzod, berzerk & mine storm on the vectrex. Good times.
I'm still kicking myself for selling my Vectrex in a yard sale. :( Those things are actually collector's items now, and I had just about every cartridge and overlay board for it. X_x

I had SOOO MUCH FUN with that thing though.

OH NO SPIKE, OH NO MOLLY!
