iippo: Well, most fears are that way. Usually we are not afraid of the most dangerous things, but some "special" things.

Like people are afraid of lightning bolts, but they are not afraid of their own home - where most accidents happen.

Also people are afraid of wild animals (!), but not the metal cows (cars), which kill a bit more people every year. Well, perhaps Farcry is bit special in this case. Though I sure wouldnt touch cars there either :D

Gazoinks: ...I have never heard someone describe cars as metal cows. I have to use that somehow.
Heh.

Finnish expression "peltilehmä" -> tin cow might actually be more accurate. Anyways, I havent got a clue how that expression was born. Perhaps much earlier in the countryside, when people started buying their first cars and they become as important for farmers as cows (which were pretty damn important). Just my speculation though, anyway I sure didnt invent it :)

Hijacked too. This will become "vache de fer" in my mouth.

Perfect complement to the iron horse.

Elmofongobro: I'm afraid that a komodo dragon will come out of nowhere and bite my leg. I'm friggin paranoid. Even when I'm nowhere near their territory I can't escape the feeling that one might be hiding nearby just waiting to snack on my ankles. It's terrifying. I haven't been this alert while playing a game since I played Resident Evil 2 back when I was twelve.

langurmonkey: You need one of these in the game. Then your problem is solved.

I'd totally get that if it was DLC or a mod.

Elmofongobro: snip
if this doesnt convince you then farcry 3 is not for you
After a while you learn to recognize all the animals in the game by sound, with the exception of sharks and alligators.

I personally find the snakes repulsive (and it's rare for games to render them realistically enough for that). Fortunately they are reasonably rare in the game and I can always hear, find and murder them before they attack.
