...so, uh, there's a possibility it would be removed from GOG, too? This is not the usual suspect (a.k.a Codemasters), though, so a confirmation from one of the bluetexts would be assuring for us. :|
Uh-oh... IL-2 Sturmovik is a really great game. It would be a shame to lose it.

I sure hope it's not removed from GOG . What is the reason for removing it on Steam ? UBI forcing people to buy Cliffs of Dover ? Sorry UBI, if people still prefer IL-2 1946 to CoD, It is still the most comprehensive WW2 combat flight sim after all . When your new game has the close to 300 types of aircraft (flyable and unflyable) that 1946 has, I'll finally buy it . Another Battle of Britain only game doesn't interest me .
It is possible to be removed from GOG, but if you buy it, you will always have it. :-)
At least that was always case on GOG with removed games.
I have it and it is the best game in the genre...
I think the reason the game was removed from steam was because the ownership of the game went from Ubisoft to 1C
