Fraggle Rock.

Normal flu, not this super flu crap!

People with empathy.
Floppy disks, and computers having floppy drives.

The CD revolution (the first CD you owned, ooh, rainbow effects, ooh, skip right to the track you want).

Minitel, Videotex, or however was called your version of keyboard-and-screen-on-phone service.

Light-hearted heroes and action movies. As opposed to gritty, badass, and "so realistic".

High-pitched male singers - horrible more often than not.

Unconscious and uncriticized ordinary racist and sexist tropes.

Stunts. "Oooh, it's a tv series with STUNTS". "Ooooh that car did, like, jump on a ramp". "Oooh an explosion".

Phone booths.

Odyssey/videopac. Heck, computers AT HOME. Also : joysticks. Also : A MOUSE.

Material movie f/x (here's a shot of the director next to the spaceship model he used).

Hope for a better world, progressive ideas, "asylum seekers" and "refugees" being perceived, by default, as decent people righteously fleeing a creepy country. Note : the countries are still creepy, but people are now supposed to stay in them.

Pollution ? What are these guys even talking about ?

Also : Talented french stand-up comedians.

I used to watch the Mickey Mouse Club in black & white with my Mom, then when it was over we would play Pong.

My first music album was KISS Alive II. On 8-Track

My first PC game was a text base adventure simply called Adventure. It came on an 8 inch floppy disk and I played it on the family's Xerox 820.

The first movie I ever watched in a theatre was called simply called Star Wars, there was no episode number or New Hope subtitle.

I had a handheld video game called Football. It had a football field painted on a black screen and little red LEDs that would light up to represent players, and I would use 3 arrow keys to move my LED across the field wile avoiding the others. There were only 30 LEDs to represent the whole field, arranged into 3 rows of 10 each.

I used to collect various trading cards, baseball cards, Gremlins cards, E.T. Cards. I finally gave it up when everyone switched to Garbage Pail Kids.

My parents were awsome enough to buy me the most anticipated video game of the year for Christmas, E.T. the Extra Terrestrial for the Atari. I played it for a week straight, then never again for the rest of my life because it was that awful.

We also had the Pac-Man game for our Atari, but both my Dad and I were very dissapointed by it. We preferred going down to the local pizza place and playing the arcade version there. That pizza shop also had Space Invaders and a pinball machine.

I also had the Pac-Man board game.

I rember when my Dad bought a new VCR because it had a remote control, which was connected to the box by a 3 foot cord. He sat on the couch and I sat on the floor next to the remote. He would then control the VCR by telling me what buttons to push.

I used to watch TV shows like Miami Vice, Magnum PI, The Fall Guy and Buck Rogers. Although I also watched Punky Prewster because I secretly had a boyhood crush on Soleil Moon Frye.

I remember the days when a man could have a little fun at the local playground with some kids without having to later on go door to door telling everyone about it!

Ummm, did I just say too much there?
