Would you stop PC gaming?

Or is PC gaming about more than that to you?
Probably not, that would go a long way towards remedying the situation, but consoles are unlikely to have the level of upgradability that PCs have. And the manufacturers have little or no incentive to allow for rolling upgrades.
Nope. The console industry itself is one giant corporate ass-raping cluster fuck. PC gaming gives more indies, more mods, more control over my gaming experience.

Was going to say something similar. Plus the sweet, sweet, PC gfx.

edit: that said, if E3 has shown us anything it's that there's lots of cool stuff coming out on consoles, like PS4 and WiiU. The reasons stated in the OP aren't good enough to stop PC gaming, but doesn't mean I dislike consoles altogether.

Not at all.
For me it's the versatility of the machine. I don't necessarily need to work on the same machine I game on but I like having the option to, plus I don't think we're going to see a console that'll let me play a movie on one screen while gaming on another anytime soon. I just like background noise is all.

Also, I don't think they're going to embrace the modding scene anytime soon.
No, but I'd probably play more console games. So long as we're talking about a console with the back catalog for all the consoles.
Mouse and keyboard...maybe. I'd need a monitor with an HDMI input first though.

Might go back to having a laptop.
Wouldn't affect me at all. For me, consoles are good for certain type of games, sitting on the couch with a controller, often played with company but the majority of the games I play don't fit consoles all that well anyway.
First i'd need a console that I can carry while traveling, and isn't a handheld.
Not really; I run my consoles through my PC monitor anyways, so having a second mouse at my computer desk would just further clutter things up on a desk that already is running out of room.

Besides, the only genre that really benefits from a mouse is RTS, and there aren't many good RTSs on consoles for me to play with a mouse.

Well, there´s already the FRAGnStein.

I didn´t stop playing console games since I got PCs, so it´s the same thing the other way round.
But consoles do support keyboard and mouse through third-party adapters. Also, the PS3 does have support for USB keyboard and mouse out of the box, don't know about the PS4.

add first-party Mouse & KB support + the possibility of PC level mod support then maybe I'd go con -again-
Nope.
The main advantage of computers over consoles is modability.
If one thing breaks in a console, you`re screwed. Happens in computer, buy new part, replace, jobs a good `un.

Also console are generally outdated hardware by the time they release & you`re stuck with old hardware until they release they`re next one in a decades time.

I`ll never understand why folk rave about ancient stuff. (hmm, even though I do about Amigas ;p)
