It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

If you want to mainly watch movie or tv stuffs get a tablet with a decent battery life (is a problem if u go quad core) and a good screen viewable from most angles (anything that has a decent Samsung or LG screen from what i know) and in bright light.

ashwald: The Nexus is thankfully much easier to find. 32GB and 199€ like the Vita. I'll check it out in the weekend, hope the screen lives up to my optimism. XD

Thank you both! :)

Anything I should especially be careful about regarding protection from malware on android platforms or will everything be fine as long as I don't use the tablet to go online? (I'm sensing studying in the near future)
The screen on the Nexus 7 is beautiful.

No real concerns with internet access so long as you're sensible about it.

RedRagan: It's actually worse. They keep downloading stuff to advertise to you and they keep tracking your activities. I'm not surprised if some of them upload our data and sell it.

timppu: You mean Google? :)

In this case I am discussing separately the privacy concerns (by Google etc.) and all the extra crap that will clutter your system due to certain freeware.
They also eat up your battery even when you're idle since they send and receive data behind your back.

I remember my Android phone. When I got it for the first time I start filling it with tons of apps, half of them are vanity type apps (aka junk apps). My phone only survive 12 hours battery life. After some derp I ended up erased all my apps and later on I only install pretty necessary apps. The result? almost 2 days of idle time.
Thank you for the suggestions and info everyone.
