I'm so used to pay what you want and 75% off @ steam that a straight 50% off isn't enticing me to fork over my cash. I was hoping to see site wide publisher "the more you buy, the more you save" type bundles for the holidays. Not that 50% off isn't great it's just not "buy a bunch of games you might not play for a year" great.
heh i remember when modern warfare 3 was 50% on steam, and it was still more than most of the games on their. bastards.
Here's a tip. Don't look at the % off but instead look at the fact that most of the catalog is only $2.99 each. Most steam games are still over $2.99 after 75% off.
Yep, that's pretty much spoiled.

Unthinking *and* spoiled. Quite the catch.
You are kidding aren't you? At this price these games are for nothing. Basically £1.50 per game here in the UK. You can't even buy a beer for that. I'm going to buy everything I've wanted.

This. 2.99$ is still usually 2 bucks less than any STEAM -75%.Even more if you are among people who have to pay in euros on steam.

If you're even thinking about buying a bunch of games you might not play for a year, just because you can, then, yeah, you have been spoiled (but I guess that applies to a lot of us, including myself). ;)

MW2 was on sale earlier this week and our 50% off price was higher than american standard price...

That's pretty neat analogy. Yeah, beer and starbuck coffee are much more expensive than a piece of GOG.
If you don't jump to buy a game at $2.99 then you don't really want it.

I have to agree with this. There have been games that I have turned down at $1 because I simply don't think that I'll enjoy playing them enough to be worth my time.

It's sorry to hear that. In Poland beer costs approx. 0.80$ ;P

100% agree. Many times I've spent my last dimes because these games are so cheap. 2.99 is a steal.
