For better or for worse the internet does bring people together. We may not be physically in the same room, but we're all here together. Maybe not at the same time, but we're all in the same place, the gog.com forums.

Exactly. When we go without something for a long time, it starts looking beautiful. It starts looking special. You think you are missing that special beautiful thing in your life and that is why you are not happy. But unless, you are extremely good looking with a nice body, nice clothes, lots of friends and lots of money, the outside world sucks compared to the internet, PC and console gaming, computers, movies, TV shows etc.

Same. Well, I get bored of reddit quickly but youtube always lures me in.

Going on youtube is like blacking out. Hours later I have no idea what I'm doing and how I got there. I just wanted to watch one video!

What is life really? Work (or hunt for one), TV, friends, girls, hobbies, drinking beer.

So what if someone uses net a lot, those other things are bit overrated anyway (well, not drinking beer) and at least when in some kind of virtual reality it is better than just plain "normal" life in poor days. "Doing the dishes?" "Why can't I just mouse click it away?"

Only people who do what they want in life are rich people and I'm not one of those. =)

I'm addicted to internet. I'm addicted to food even more. If I don't eat, I die. And noone's making a fuss about my food addiction, somehow.

Of course I did. I'm still trying to maintain that illusion (which already has gone a long time ago) that I'm not alcoholic. ^^
