KingofGnG: Never preordered ANYTHING. It is ALWAYS a bad idea.
Well, I pre-ordered L4D2, Portal 2, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Dead Island. I've not regretted pre-ordering any of them. :)
Very bad idea imho. I only preorder Blizzard and Rockstar games as they always deliver exceptional games.

Does this give you goosebumbs?

I still have Monkey Island and BTTF on my backlog, otherwise In would also buy that.

Heh, good for you. I don't give my hard-earn money to anybody until I can see with my bare eyes (and maybe I can touch/hear/play) what I am paying for....
If you liked BttF, you'll most likely enjoy this. I was psyched for BttF, but when I finally played it and the nostalgia factor wore off, the story and gameplay just didn't hook me. I haven't seen anything on JP, but it's Telltale and they seem to have a consistent style to their games.

same here, with sam and max and monkey island i couldnt wait till the next episode.
(maybe because of nostalgia) but with bttf i gave up somewhere on the second or third part. might be good titles but the gameplay has always been kind of lacking. the name i think of sam and max and monkey island make up for it. but if it was all based on unknown titles i dont think they would have had the same success.
I think that Telltale Games is also working on a Walking Dead series based game? If they're a decent company, maybe it'll be good!

edit: yes, just checked, they indeed are.

I haven't played any of their other games, what would you guys recommend?

Definitely the Sam & Max series. Season 3 is the best of them.

Note that their latest licensed games are easier than other games (Back to the Future is very casual and I guess Jurassic Park will be too, in a different genre).

Grab freebies first. Just to see if you're getting the memory leak, that can slow the game to a crawl after a prolonged session. TTG don't seem to be improving their insides of their engine much.
