Darthprymus: Pretty sure it's a ships wheel looking object on the wall thats just perfectly set behind his head, strange that they filmed it that way.
You don't say? :P

keeveek: I've watched Dark Knight Rising yesterday. It was even more disappointing than Prometheus. Most overrated movie this year.
Nothing is more disappointing than Prometheus. NOTHING.

Though, similar to Prometheus, it was filled with a bunch of "wut" moments. It wasn't a particularly strong movie, though. My Spanish professor (in his broken English and heavy accent) even called it "Bane Rising: also starring Batman"

It's so true. Bane steals the show. I think Nolan at some point noticed that, so he decided to:

a) strip him from the most interesting plot part about escaping the prison
b) killing him in a silly, cartoon-like style...

Bad joke:

I heard a group of scientists are working on an artificial intelligence with an IQ of around 6000, which sums up the combined IQ of about 6000 P.E. teachers.
Oh my, the response has been truly wonderful. Thank you all, it really helps to have such kindness sent my way. I appreciate this from the bottom of my heart, thank you again. :)

Ah yes, Holly. His IQ significantly reduces due to computer senility of being alone. Which you can attribute to your idiotic bunkmate not putting a drive plate on properly, killing the crew, and resulting your 14 month stasis confinement becoming 3 million years. THANKS RIMMER! >.< Yes, I am a Dwarfer, and proud! :P

I need a hug too.... my girlfriend texted me that she had seen way too many guys behind my back, and all of them more or less wanted to sleep with her. She lied about this guy three times and told me that she cheated me with him and said she's out of her fuc*ing mind and a total asshole and she's not "human" anymore. I have to agree. She laughed at me while i was crying (it was more painful than 50 years of maximal torture i assure you) and just said "Enjoy" ... Yea it's me, Sebek again.
When I feel down, I watch this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rk6_hdRtJOE
It reminds me there's much more than work and routine, and the music of Einaudi simply rocks my core.
I had asthma as a kid and it put me in the hospital a couple of times. Sorry about your stupid boss. Anyway, since we are sharing stupid jokes...

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Interrupting cow.
Interru...
MOO!!

I personally would of punched her in the jaw if I was in that situation..

Theta_Sigma: Hey everyone, I would like to ask a small favour. I pretty much had my job threatened by my boss today who felt like throwing his weight around despite the fact my asthma was acting up and found it difficult to function at 100%.

If someone could possibly say something encouraging, hell I'll even take a youtube link to something that would cheer me up, I could really use it. I've been at my job for a few years, and he is pretty much one of only two people ever voice any kind of diminutive and insulting remarks to me. I try to hold myself up, and realize it's just them being narcissistic and rude. Also, a movie I pre-purchased months ago seems to have gotten lost in the mail, and the company has yet to reply to my email.

I don't mean to ask for anything major, and I realize there are others way worse off, but getting berated has crushed my spirits a little; heck even some jokes would help liven my mood. Just anything funny, or humourous, or whatever to help cheer me up. Thank you for reading this either way. :(

Thank you for those, and I think the fact I got so many wonderful responses from so many wonderful people made me smile more than the actual contents of the post. ^_^ Thank you all, I greatly appreciate it, everyone. :)

SweatyGremlins: Not so much because of my job's sake, but because it wouldn't solve anything. I'm not going to bugger up my karma just to sink to his level.
Have you thought you might be denying him a much needed chance for growth? ;-) You might also look at it like this - because based on your observations he seems not to be a particularly good team builder.

As another more concrete thing to look at: Fawlty Towers (BBC series).

An eventual drinking game of taking a sip whenever Mr. Fawlty might surpass the horridness, rudeness, cheapness or randomness of one's boss is almost guaranteed to end in lol state of intoxication. :-)

And finally a fairly constructive was to spin work frustrations: maybe look at is as impetus to be open for something else that in likelihood is better, fresh and nicer. Thus: your CV work-out. You go Theta_Sigma!

Edit: have not figured out the snipping correctly bit as of yet - original quote: Theta_Sigma.

Trust me, if his ego got any more growth it would be taking up real estate. :P

Awe man, I miss Fawlty Towers, I haven't seen it in a dog's age, I should get the box set later...OR dig out my copies on VHS.

Yeah, I am looking at a Computer retailer, while not the best place in the world. It seems like something more up my alley in terms of interest and genuine love for the product. Thanks man, :) I do try, my Iaido/Kendo teacher (prior to me teaching it) always taught me to take the path of least resistance. Though to be fair most times that referred to wielding my blade LOL.
