What a great game. I would recommend it to any Wing Commander fan. A lot of fun and completely free. Check it out!

I couldn't agree more. Personally, this was a true Wing Commander game, with all the bells and whistles we have come to expect from the series. If it weren't a fan-made game, I'd pay full retail price for something like this, especially once you consider that at best, you are missing about half the content they made (winning vs. loosing storyline).
Downloaded this a couple of months ago along with Diaspora, but I haven't gotten around to actually trying out either. Maybe I ought to break out my flight stick again.
Should play the Wing Commander 4 first? Since that's the only one i have on GOG :P

It has a lot more to do with WC3 than WC4. So playing WC4 would not really explain the story or the game play all that well. I would just dive in and give it a try.

Well then, I think the only thing left for you to do is watch the movie starring Freddie Prince Jr.

Best of luck. Try not to rip your eyeballs out of your skull and stuff them into your ears.

I far as I am concerned a Wing Commander feature film has yet to be made.
