and I like it. :) I like that Origin is a lot cleaner looking. I also like that you can choose an avatar. I also like the colors.
It really isn't so bad, quite simple thing. And colors? It's white. ^^
Only thing is that games are really expensive in that shop but if you bought games somewhere else then it's fine.
I've got nothing against that client.
I find it's not a bad client. it definitely has its good points, but there's room for some serious improvement on the store side of it.

I don't know another place that sells EA games for less. Please share?
It's fine. I basically never use it, because my games are already spread out between Steam, GOG, Gamersgate, and Desura, and what the heck do I need another service for, but my experience with it when I've had to use it (i.e. Mass Effect 3) was fine. Of course it was EA, so I remember a lot of people screaming about it, but as I said, no problems on my end.

It looks like an Ubuntu app.
From people's reactions to it in the past, I was expecting some kind of horrible abomination but it's not.
Nothing bad about it, I liked the idea of not needing to launch the client to play a game.

However, I never really used it much so I uninstalled it for now.
Origin indeed is a nice application. Clean of much of the clutter that Steam has.

The negative reputation for Origin comes from the customer service, I think.

When there's some sale, some EA games were in gamersgate cheaper (of course because there was a sale). I mean, from there I bought mass effect 3 (well, that was pre-order) and probably those others what I have in origin.

I have to use gamersgates uk site to see EA games but you'll be fine as I see that you are american.

Anyway.. There are others and you should just keep your eyes open. =)

I got Kingdoms of Amalur from Gamersgate, including all DLC, for $17 from Gamersgate. Picked up Mass Effect 3 Digital Deluxe Edition (actually, it was gifted to me) from Amazon for $20. Got The Saboteur for $5 from Gamersgate. You can pick up the Dragon Age and Dead Space games form various distributors for a good discount quite often.
Its offline mode works without issue, which is a lot more than I can say for Steam.

True. Steam's offline mode is garbage.
What bugs me about Origin is you can't back up games onto disc. Despite having an option to keep game installers and providing an option to browse the installer directories, it doesn't work, and you have absolutely no installer available to you for later use.

I was wondering where the installers were after games were installed :(.
