Jordon3211: there are no announcement's, just getting everyone's opinion, my bosses would like to know if it's something people would want, and not something that would just cost them money. nothing is official, just talk right now

You could just check the wishlist section for that. It's a little bit messy right now and not fairly representative, but you'll get the rough number of people who want to see your games on GOG.

I'd buy:
• No One Lives Forever
• Grand Theft Auto 2 (maybe, depends on price & extras)
• Resident Evil 3
• Diablo
I can't imagine anyone saying "No, we don't want those games here."
I do find it unusual for a publisher to allow an employee to post something this revealing on a public forum. Hence my skepticism that it is legitimate . . . no disrespect intended.
For a free copy of GTA2, go here. Don't worry mods, it's legit and directly from Rockstar Games.

thats only bc nothing is being done right now, just idea's thrown around. the games listed are few of many games we have, just using them for examples so if anything was to be done these may or may not be the one's we can use. i'm just asking for public opinion on the matter, if something does end up being done with something, i can guarantee, IF we do this, you won't know about it :)

you didn't answer to my question

what was the question?

Ralackk: Looking through the wiki and moby games lists for empire interactive I see nothing mentioned about any of those games you listed.
Now assuming this is real and you can actually aquire world wide publishing rights for those games I'm sure most of them would sell fairly well.

look for Xplosive, thats part of empire that worked with companies like sega, activision and others

I have my doubts about the legitimacy, this does in fact set off my dodgy-ometer close to the level of the e-mails I get from the Nigerian princes requesting money. Regardless, I've never played No One Lives Forever and I'm told I'm missing out - I'd love it if it showed up on GoG.

Even after they start selling? That can't be good for business...

i'm not promising anything, just want to know which ones i should push for and you may or may not see them on gog, i have no idea how long it would take but like i said it's only an idea right now,

you mean why isn't this more public with hard facts? bc it's nothing set in stone, it's just an idea i threw to a few guys here and they like the idea, if it's doable idk. nothing big just talk right now

Actually, I was talking about revealing that you are considering releasing these games on GOG. If the "higher ups" are just now realizing the value, have done no research about the success / failure aspects and don't really care about having a negotiating advantage than I guess it is a good idea to make public inquires. I'm thinking GOG would have preferred to do the research in their own way.

They never thought of this themselves?

"you mean why isn't this more public with hard facts"
nope.
why GOG,why not Steam,D2D or Impulse ?
I take it these are non-exclusive publishing rights? Only that could prove to be a point of contention given that GOG effectively distributes internationally.
The IPs for Diablo, GTA, AvP, Resident Evil, and Wolfenstien are still in use, for instance. I don't know how many of those you can bring to GOG uncontested, but in my book you're certainly welcome to try. Plenty of those I'd like to see.
