Siannah: Yes, more options does not automagically mean a better game. But neither does it mean that if a game isn't working for you, it sucks. You pretty much went into Freelancer expecting a Starlancer 2 - wrong expectations != bad game.
Just pretend that's the entire point for a bit. So why the hell they even put Freelancer in the same universe as Starlancer when the games have nothing to do with each other?

Why tease me, a big fan of Starlancer with a game that has nothing to do with the previous one?

If I bought it back in the day, I would be furious.

The last quote from the intro is "We will never forgive". What was the point of that video if the plot HAS NOTHING TO DO with the war?! I felt so betrayed the minute this fucking EGG popped up.

It's not their fault if you suffer from sequelitis. :p

If Freelancer was named Starlacer 2, I'd accept every complain you have about it, even though devs are (or at least should be) allowed to change part of the game - don't need what Modern Talking did with games. But as it is? Nope. Sry Sir - check your facts before buying.
I really enjoyed Freelancer for the freedom to just fly about shooting at other spaceships as I went. Yes the story is short, and rather quick to try and rush you. If you do not want to follow the crowd just do your own thing, it too me months to finish Freelancer and I loved it for that.

I personally would buy it again upon arrival here. In fact I really hope that between the mess of Win8, buying Nokia and the XBone that MS will be brought to their knees and forced to sell off many of their assets so that someone (even NightDrive) can buy up their old games, rerelease them here and I can play them again.
