You can also save him by making a Slowfall spell with a large area, and cast it at the ground while he's still in midair. It's tricky to time it right, but that way you can actually keep him alive forever.

Of course, that way you don't get his sword or the scrolls or his funny hat.

If you offer a cushion so he dosent die in the fall maybe he will talk to you then.


And cool playing morrowind. That game is still the best experience in the TES series.

It doesn't keep him in the air forever, it just prevents the falling damage, so he never dies. He just stands around unharmed on top of his book forever, unless he gets killed by monsters or something.
