When I was a kid I played the whole day and I paid willingly the full price for everything that I wanted and if I wanted something I wanted it really badly.
Now I still want some games, but my time is much more limited. Also I have the money to buy more games than I can play, so they pile up but my interest changed. I'm not so focused on games anymore.
However for books I still feel this need to get them immediately. I had to buy the latest George RR Martin novel just 4 weeks after it came out. I red it within 2 weeks. Now I'll have to wait 5 years until part 6 will come out. :(
For movies the interest also has gone somewhat. Do I have to go to the cinema? I find renting them later and watching them at home much more convenient.
Maybe if I would loose interest in everything I should get worried but I am not there yet.
