It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Barefoot_Monkey: There's always Start Page. ...
Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try.

Shambhala: That's really useful, but the option I was looking for isn't there. I guess you just can't do that with DDG.

anomaly: I did see that. If you go to the Goodies page there is a feedback link. Maybe we should all get on their case to expand their syntax criteria?
That's definitely a good idea, I guess I'll start then :)
i am using bing maps bird-eye view quite bit at work actually.
Bing? Bing = Microsoft = Internet Explorer...
KILL IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE AND HOLY WATER!!!
Well, reading more carefully I did find what I was looking for: it was written here:
https://duck.co/help/features/dates

You can also get the Google date filter ranges easily using our bang syntax. To do that, you can do !gyear test to search for 'test' on Google for pages in the last year. !gmonth, !gweek, etc. work as well.
You can't search specifying dates, but at least it has google's presets.

Edit:
they have made the same request in the forum (3 years ago!)

I also use DDG as my primary engine. I use Google or Bing still for certain types of searches though.
For a short moment I thought you are talking about Biing!.

carnival73: Continued use throughout the day is revealing to me that Bing is not as lackluster as I previously suspected.

How long before M$ sinks Bing with advertising as well?
In the US, we get paid to use Bing. Comes to $5 worth of something a month, maybe a bit more if you get points searching on your mobile. I prefer the Amazon gift cards myself.

It really does have some superior features to Google and I've kept up with modern news/tabloids much more easily. Why not if I'm being paid to? :P
