So - with the Birth of my third Grand-Daughter, I start to think about my Legacy and the Storm takes a turn back to our Legacy. This week we return to GOG in all of its DRM Free Greatness. One Lucky winner this week will grab a code for all 4 Legacy of Kain Games. So get your name on the list and the drawing will be held on Monday Evening.

Never been a parent or grandparent, but the differences between a child and its parent and a grandchild and its grandparent is funny. My grandpa used to be a real hardass, my mom says, but he's just a big bear to me :3

I'm in. So here's my story:

As I'm not yet married, my experiences as a grandchild. My grandfather from the mom side is a pretty quiet man. He rarely talked about his past but he love to talk about Javanese calendar predictions. I found out from my mother that he's part of the freedom fighter during the war of independence. Disguising himself as farmer. Almost got arrested by the colonial army. Doing guirrella warfare on the hills and forests of Java even when he's originally a teacher and not trained as a soldier.

I give him my respect. Also I was the one who pick the phone call from someone who told me about him passing away. I was a junior high schooler at that time.RIP Grandpa/Mbahkung.

Not in, but as an adult child I still learn to appreciate the little things that my parents did when I was younger. The relationship changes as parents learn to become parents to adults rather than children. Yet, every now and then your parents will do or say something just to remind you that you are indeed their child. At the same time role reversal happens - as parents grow old the children need to take care of them.

as a child I have a fluctuating relationship with my parents, like many others, but yeah, in the end, I love them.

Grats, my thoughts...being a kid was great! Having kids...very annoying. Having grandkids is better, all the good, but the real parents can deal with the annoying things!

Well, when you are being parent, your life are having irreversible changes. It never will be same.

I'm pretty close to my parents but I'm not comfortable with the idea of being a parent myself. I don't remember my grandparents much because I was still a kid when they died, except for my grandmother who passed away when I was in high school. She lived away from us and we used to visit her every year, during the holidays.
