I forgot to mention the Total War games in my last post. I have sunk so many hours into those games.

And regarding estrategy games I always prefered the real-time ones like Age of Empires/Mithology, Starcraft/Warcraft, Command and Conquer, Warhammer 40K and the first Company of Heroes.

And about the turn-based ones, I like titles like M.A.X. and King's Bounty.

As Dzsono mentioned, if you liked Panzer General 1 you can not go wrong with Panzer Corps (especially Afrika Corps stand alone add-on). It brings all the glory of "beer and pretzel" war gamming goodness of PG and adds few nice features (estimated outcome of battle). It would be nice to have more Wargames here.

I'll take a shot at this so count me in please. I think I'd enjoy this game as I love the WWII setting for games and the history of that period. Relic makes really great games too. Currently I am having a good time playing through their Dawn of War II game. The quality is outstanding throughout and the game is just really fun to play. So I would expect this title by them to be really good.

Strategy is my first genre, my top favorite. I love both fantasy or historical. I like fantasy better but my passion for historical ones is strong too as I love historical stuffs. WW2 is one of my favorite periods in history. There were so much amazing inventions of war machines. Tanks replace the awesomeness of cavalry. I'm crazy about cavalry and for this period it's tanks. Tiger tanks...blitzkrieg...wow. I don't like WW1 much however. I also don't like nukes. They are cowardice and stupid weapons.

For games it's hard to pick favorite. I like so many. I prefer TBS to RTS. I've never played CoH the first but I'd love it. Been waiting to grab it for long. For RTS my favorite include CoH, Blitzkrieg, Men of War, Commandos, Close Combat. For TBS my favorite include Panzer General, Panzer Corps, Hearts of Iron, Making History, WWII: Battles of South Pacific. Those titles are WW2 titles. Could be a wall of text to talk about fantasy or other historical games.... :P

For a long time i was a fan of strategy games. Still play a few.
Only that a strategy game for me is round based.
I still think that Nectaris is one of the best.

I like Strategy games. I don't have any skills in this type of games, but I like it. I have good time with real time strategy, but in general I have more fun with turn based.
Age of Empire 2 was one of my favorite, Tom Clancy's EndWar is a very good military based, and Men of War is amazing (but too difficult !). From turn based, Civilization V is a fantastic game !

So in! One of the many great aspects of strategy games is that you do not need lightning reflexes and a low ping to succeed! I also have an excellent time with the sub-genre of real-time strategy wargames: Total Annihilation is a classic.
