Yeah, all the reviews I've skimmed were quite favorable (~80%) whereas those of Journey of a Roach were lukewarm (60-70%). Now that I've compared the German voiceovers of Chains of Satinav to the English ones and actually preferred the latter, I think I'll just skip the Daedalic bundle and buy The Swapper instead. Didn't the community vote to not have alphas on GOG? And, duh, they will only have DRM-free versions for games that already offer DRM-free versions; given how popular Steam-only bundles were, they have zero incentive to spend manpower on persuading devs to respect buyers. The actually meaningful difference is their lack of curation, meaning crapware and casual stuff is welcome. Will Barry stop spamming the forums now? Ooh, the suspense.

I'm pretty sure it's been DRM-free the entire time with only an unlock key required or something. Maybe not even that.

Can anyone tell me if Chivalry on there is Steam only or is it DRM free? I'd love to be able to play this game with friends over LAN.

GOG is in a deep, deep hole now. I don't think they will be able to compete with Humble Store when it comes to indies.

sure, because all those people who pay $1 for a bundle now will be buying games on Humble Store, right.

GOG: avatars and wallpepers

Time will tell how sales numbers on Humble Store are going to look like.

Frankly I'm not quite sure what direction they're even going with this. They had trouble with the Weekly before getting publishers on board. Now they have enough support to sell games for discount on a daily basis? I'll have to see it to believe it.

The discounts would be meh if they didn't include drm free as well and some of those titles are locked to Steam, which just makes it another steam sale discount and nothing special. Some things like Chivalry can be bought for cheaper from discounts + 4 pack + regional pricing, for example. So I don't see that as the top seller here over titles like Prison Architect and Don't Starve. If they offered DRM free 4-packs, that would be something notable.

As for what this means for GOG..does GOG even want to compete with the DRM free titles in the sale? That's really going to depend on how well it does, which time will tell. I don't see any reason for concern as it is now though.

Edit: Oh, I see. Linux versions. That would also be something. I keep on forgetting that GOG doesn't offer those yet.

I dont understand how it could be a problem for Desura.
Many of the new indie games come through desura first (or they did). Never seen any games actually launch on HB so to say.

Meh. ShinyLoot is much more clear on their DRM and have better selection.

It's always better to react BEFORE it's too late. But I agree, for now I can't tell if Humble Store is giong to be a real deal, or only daily deals instead of bundles.

For now it seems humble store and humble widgets on dev pages are entirely different things.
