Interesting :) I agree, but on the other side, my price to get average bonus could go much higher also.

Edit: just noticed I was ninja'ed by 14 hours in the other topic...

Totally agree with this sickens me when someone buys the pack for $0.01 its an insult to both the developers, charity and the humble bundle as a whole

Unless they actually buy 400 of those.
This should stay forever. 1$ for steam key is still cheap as hell, so it shouldn't be a problem.

I know it's Pay what you want, but 1 buck is not a big limitation anyway.

If you include PayPal's merchant fees, that would cost the HIB $120.

Agreed.
I'm okay with the 1 cent games. They do the humble bundle as a major charity. And most people with money and a heart pay some money to get some games they probably wouldn't ordinarily get.

Those with either no money or no heart (or both) pay a cent. And that's part of the HB -- not just a charity to charities, but to others as well.

The added option of getting over the average is also quite cool.

To be honest, I'd never buy any of those games. But now that I have, it's opened me up to some new forms of games. I've put more time into Bit.Trip Runner than any game in quite a while. I just love it. And I'd never in a million years would have tried it if it wasn't included in a bundle with Gratuitous Space Battles and Super Meat Boy.

So even the scrooge who throws down a cent might learn something and enjoy a game they hadn't before. And perhaps, just perhaps, their heart will grow three times that day like any ordinary grinch.

I just hope they're not charged a fee to process that 1 cent. If they are, I hope they just don't process it.
I agree with you, Talima, but as you can see, 0.01$ method is used to abuse the system.

Many people have suffered because of that, for example, Steam ran out of Shank CD-keys, and many people couldn't play it.

Just because some dudes are buying 100 copies for 0.01 and then sell the keys on ebay or for christmas pile of gifts.
Does anyone have real experience as a PayPal merchant? If someone pays a cent, does PayPal charge them money for the transaction?
If so, I'd say make it a dollar minimum in the first place. I think that's a very[ low price already; if there really are more than a few cases where people have trouble paying one dollar, some kind of forum could help - let them post a description of their predicament, and someone might help out (they actually did something like this before, on twitter or something).
If they simply receive no money in these cases... well, at least HIB would not have to pay because of these people - they would mainly be tricking steam (unless they also sell the bundle keys later on). But no matter how you look at it, it's still a dick move...
I don't see any problem with this.

Cheap bastards who just want the games still get the games, this is more to discourage people from buying a bunch of 1 cent keys to inflate the value of their account to get into Steam Gifts, or to cheat the holiday giveaway since four of the games have holiday achievements.
