VanishedOne: According to the EULA that comes with KoP&P (linked from the Humble library listing), Paradox will pursue to the fullest extent of the law any purchaser they catch making more than one personal backup.

Given the game's microtransactions for gold, one might have expected them to encourage people to keep it thoroughly backed up for future use, but no... :-/
I was very curious about why the EULA was linked in that way too...
For those that haven't bought the bundle, there's an separate EULA button in the downloads section. Never seen that before.
EULA also writes that there is a limit of 10k dollars per week for purchasing in game gold O.o Now I know that this is the ceiling but still
It leads me to ask if the game is fun without "microtransactions"
I'm sure it can be played but is it fun? And I'm referring to mid-end sections of the game not the start, because "microtransactions" always appear to be meaningless in the beginning in order to allow you to initially like the game...

edit: the very interesting thread you linked has (as always) conflicting opinions

babark: Didn't they already feature most of these games before in another bundle?
Not at least the Android versions. I think I have all the HB Android bundles, and the only repeats (that I have already) are Kingdom Rush and Ravensword.

Some earlier HB Android bundle had Broken Sword 1, but this bundle has the sequel.

Not sure if there are more repeats for Windows/Linux.

EDIT: And I assume you meant earlier HB bundles. I don't track other indie bundles, too many out there.

They only want you to create ONE backup for PERSONAL use? If it's for personal use 1 or 1.000.000 backups shouldn't be an issue. O_o

What madness is this!?!? O_O

Paradox Interactive. . . what are you thinking. -_-

morciu: Well I nothing about the other games but Broken Sword 2 is an awesome adventure game, never played the remake but I loved the original version to death.
Buy it on GOG then - lots of goodies included! :)

Indeed! The GOG edition includes Both the original game and the remake along with a comic book, game guide, 18 artworks and of course the manual! ^_^

It's a pretty good deal imo. -_^

Paradox has nothing to fear from me. I'll do them one better and not only make no backups but no purchase.

Game publishing companies need to stop treating their customers like thieves. >:(

(Maybe I'm overreacting, but stuff like this really annoys me.)

Not the OST included of all things, the main reason I purchased this HB..

There's a compelling reason to buy the first game on GOG, not least because it includes the original game. The Director's Cut just made a hatchet job out of the game and it was a pain to play.

The same argument can't be made of BS2 though. Most of the goodies will never even be used by many people, and as koima57 said, GOG doesn't have the OST, the one thing that people probably would care about.

Same here. I have BS 1 on GOG and bought the current HB mainly for BS 2.

Kingths of Pen + Paper is a fun little game. With some small tricks you can reduce the amount of gold that you needed and therefore avoid long grind (that you cut short with paying microtransactions).

I was able to play through it without paying a dime.
Can you tell, how much PC version of Kingdom Rush is different from a browser version (for example at armorgames.com)?
I bought BS2 recently on Android, and that was the only game here I really wanted.

Thanks a lot. :)
Got that bundle because I didn't own any of these games and I was interested by Knights of Pen and Paper. At 3.5$ the threshold for the whole bundle, that was a steal!

And I'm actually having a blast with Kingdom Rush! ^_^

Thanks, I already have all the Broken Sword games multiple times (including GOG), I was referring more to the rest of the games.

The only really interesting item is the OST of Broken Sword 2, so went for that.
