I am sure this has been asked before, so apologies for the re-ask.

I entered a giveaway, and I would like to withdraw, as I purchased some games during the sale, that it would not be fair to get a game that I do not have time for right now. How can I search for the post I posted in? Thanks!

You can't .
That explains why I can not figure it out. Thanks for letting me know.

Well hold on, what was the giveaway?
I just searched all the pages, and found it. I then PM'd the person giving away the games.
Basically, Licurg is correct. The search functions on the forums are truly terrible. That being said, here are some things you can try:

- Check the "My posts" button at the top of every forum page. That will have some of your posts, but inevitably not what you are looking for.
- Go to the "Community" page. On the right, note the list of "Topics I've participated in," which probably lists five posts you recently posted in. Click the "Show More" button. That adds five more. Click the button again for five more posts. Lather, rinse, repeat.
- If you remember words from the title of the GA, especially unusual or misspelled words, you can put them in the "Search" button on the top of the foum pages (not the Site Search in the menu bar, stay in the gray area for this one - it's next to "new post"). Keep in mind that the many posts returned are not sorted by date, they are sorted by GOGgly. Which is variable, and top secret.

- Last ditch effort: go to Google, type your user name and "site:www.gog.com/forum" and get a list of posts that Google has indexed.

Good luck.

Edit: Ah, you brute-forced it while I was typing. That works too.

SpringPower:
Actually, everybody is wrong, you can firstly check under "my recent topics" under the "community" tab at the top, you can also go here: www.gog.com/forum/myrecentposts

- and thats before using gog search in a certain manner as well as offsite search (things the repliers so far should know!). :)

A tip for the future: I always click the "This is my favourite topic" checkbox when I enter a giveaway.
Some lessons learned. Thanks again everyone.

PM received. Can't answer you, because you block PMs (just in case you don't know).
