We already have that "Games finished in 20xx" thread but I'd wager most of the games listed there aren't from GOG, and I know most of you have a really large collection of GOG games, so I thought it might be interesting to see how much of them you've actually played through. And did you finish them after buying a copy of 'em here or before?

Oh, and if someone did another thread like this in the past that I'm not aware of, feel free to point me to it and chide me. :)

Might and Magic 3: Isles of Terra - Kinda cheated. Put money in bank, built up interest to make millions, spent money on the experience fountain (kept creating and deleting my characters when they got old).

I haven't finished any GOG game after buying it from GOG. In fact, I have only barely played any of my GOG purchases so far (mostly Baldur's Gate, after I was able to move my save games from my CD-version to the GOG version successfully).

The reason being that I concentrate on finishing my old CD-based games because I feel the GOG purchases are even more future-proof than my CD games. I just should download all my GOG games at some point to a local repository.

I have finished earlier some games I've later bought from GOG too, like:

many earlier Sierra adventures (Gabriel Knight 1, and older, mostly)
Betrayal at Krondor
Total Annihilation (not Core Contingency expansion)
Unreal (not the expansion pack)
Red Baron (the first one)
Alone in the Dark 1

and maybe some others. By default I don't re-buy games from GOG that I already own AND have finished already. Games that I haven't finished yet but own on CD, I may buy from GOG promo discounts, especially if they fix some compatibility issues that the original CD has, but sometimes even for the luxury of not having to insert to CD anymore, nor downloading updates separately.

So apparently I have quite a lot still to play. Even if I never bought another game, I am unsure I could possibly finish them all in my lifetime, even if I picked only the most interesting ones.

Note to publishers: I am much less likely to buy more games to that backlog, if they have DRM that can restrict my ability to play it in the distant future. DRM-purchases are only for instant playing.

None. I never finished a single game for a very long time. :(
