The game, I mean (well, also the novel if you've got an opinion on it). I'm not even planning to buy or play it any day soon, but I remember having been hesitating when I saw it in shops, and was a bit intrigued. How does the anachronism play, and the whole aspect of high-profile high-tech power versus low-profile low-tech adaptation ?

I had voted for it here, of course, and would probably buy it if GOG waved it under my nose. But still, more broadly speaking, I'm quite curious about this game, its quality, and people's experience with it. Also, my only experience with the strugatski bros is the roadside picnic thing, but it was pretty good. Yet this doesn't mean much, as we talk of videogames here.

Telika:
I personally quite enjoyed it (recently reinstalled) - and im not the biggest fan of action rpg's.
The voice acting wasnt great and there were some things that could have been done better but i found myself quite well immersed in the storyline.
As to the tech, I had only just got the the point where that really starts to come into play when my old pc began to croak on me, so I can't really say.
I definately suggest if you find it cheap you give it a go.
Oh nevermind thought this was a troll question xD
Its pretty fun, a lot better than I thought it would be. It is one of those games that I started playing a few years back and never finished.

I had a few hours in, but never got any high tech stuff.

Not sure what the story was about, either, now that I'm looking back.
After googling it the story is unnaturally similar to the Shaker/Old-School RPG kickstarter....
Oh, so you don't wanna know how it's like being a God?
Okay :(
